NYC Event Photographer On Assignment for Roaming Hunger's Not Milk Product Launch

It was a full-circle moment when I got the call to photograph a social-first brand activation for Not Milk, a plant-based alternative to dairy so creamy I genuinely couldn't believe it wasn't real milk. The activation centered around a coffee truck strategically parked outside the American Museum of Natural History on a perfect, mild Sunday afternoon last winter.

The location couldn't have been more meaningful for me personally, having spent five formative years as an image researcher in the museum's Exhibition Department, helping develop both traveling and permanent exhibits. It was within those inspiring walls that I started my photography journey, buying my first full-frame camera and experimenting with capturing events, installations, and parties for my department. What began as just a hobby eventually led me to make the life-changing decision to pursue a full-time career as an event photographer.

Capturing visitors discovering Not Milk outside the very institution where my career pivot was inspired highlighted the interesting professional trajectory that brought me to this assignment. The symmetry of returning to this significant landmark as a professional NYC event photographer was not lost on me as I took in the events of the day.
